Smooth, rich and full of flavor a nice accompaniment to any beef roast or even Mom’s meatloaf!

Growing up in New York, meat and potatoes was a staple in our family and the gravy maker was king!

Brown Gravy Instructions

Brown Gravy StepsBeef Gravy Step 1: In a medium sauce pan sauté the shallots, garlic and herbs in the oil on medium high heat. 

Beef Gravy Step 2: Once caramelized, deglaze with the sherry and cook out the alcohol (2-3 minutes).

Beef Gravy Step 4: In a saucepan melt the butter. Whisk in the flour and sauté for 4-5 minutes to cook out the flour. Slowly whisk in the hot stock, whisking constantly to avoid lumps.

Beef Gravy Step 5: Bring to a low boil to thicken.
